Breathtaking Struggles in Groups

The Amputee Football World Cup, hosted by our country and organized by TBESF, started on 30 September 2022 with the Turkey-France match hosted by Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium.

In the match played after the opening ceremony at Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saraçoğlu Sports Complex Ülker Stadium, our national team, which is in Group A, won with the goals of Kemal Güleş in the 8th minute, Okan Şahiner in the 23rd minute and Rahmi Özcan in the 48th minute.

Our Amputee Football National Team, aiming for the championship in the Cup, will face Liberia in their 2nd match in Group A on Sunday, October 2 at 20.00 at TFF Riva. Our national team will play their 3rd match in the group against Haiti on Monday, October 3 at 20.00. The match was followed by Hamza Yerlikaya, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Yusuf Günay, TFF Vice President and Board Member in charge of Disabled Federations, Muaz Ergezen, President of the Turkish Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled and many other guests. On Saturday, October 1, 11 matches will be played in the Amputee Football World Cup, which is organized in cooperation with the Turkish Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled and the World Amputee Football Federation with the participation of 24 teams. In the other match in Group A, Haiti and Liberia will face each other in Riva at 12.30 pm. The matches will be broadcast live on TBESF Youtube channel.

In the matches of the Amputee Football World Cup organized by TBESF on Saturday, October 1, 22 countries fought to get out of the groups. In TFF Riva, where TBESF President Muaz Ergezen watched on the spot and 11 matches took place, there was a fierce struggle with moments full of excitement and enthusiasm. Representatives of the diplomatic missions of the participating countries in Istanbul also attended the matches and supported their countries on the field. In all matches where friendship and sportsmanship were at the forefront, the countries showed how eager they were to take the cup to their countries.

The first match of the day was played between Japan and Germany at 11:00, while the last match was played between Brazil and Iran. October 1, 2022 competitions with the results as follows;
